The Armstrong Powerhouse presents the eagerly awaited Valenta Sound Pack for the Class 43 supplied with Rail Simulator.
It is generally accepted amongst enthusiasts that this is the superior sounding engine out of the three (VP185 and MTU being the others) and combined with the sound of the Marston Cooler Fan revving up; this sound pack will take you back to the days when Valentas were aplenty meaning the iconic sound never has to die.
These sounds were professionally recorded from a number of power cars such as 43104 for the 'grunt' sound and 43056 for the classic 'Marston' cooler fans which come on at random intervals in this pack. Also, a brand new horn is included which is controlled by how long you hold down the space bar. These sounds will install onto all Class 43s on your Rail Simulator installation*. Below is a video demonstrating the sounds, for copyright reasons, the sound quality is not as good as in game but it should give a good indication of this product:
Finally, if you didn't think that was enough, a high-quality scenario for the Paddington to Oxford route is included for you to test the sounds out on which involves you driving from London Paddington to Oxford in the rush hour. This scenario has all trains from the May - December 2008 Working Timetable implemented and are named with headcode, origin and destination so you can see where the train has come from! Due to the realistic nature of this scenario, it is quite resource intensive so please bear this in mind when running it.
So, sit back and enjoy the sound of the Napier Turbocharger screaming and the Marston Cooler Fan howling as you speed through the English countryside.

Mk2 Rail Simulator Upgrade - More Information
*If you have the VP185 or MTU sound packs, the MTU and VP185 Class 43 locos will retain the relevant sounds and not be overwritten by the Valenta. Apart from that, all other Class 43s will receive the Valenta sounds.
