The Armstrong Powerhouse presents a Class 37 Sound Pack for the Class 37 supplied with RailWorks.
These sounds were professionally recorded from a variety of Class 37s including 37603, 37421 and 37670. They feature authentic Class 37 power-up sounds, the classic growl at full power and a new start-up sound. Also, advanced scripting has allowed the sounds to correspond to wheelslip. Finally, sounds of the brakes rubbing and squealing are featured as well as a brand new horn. During the installation process, these sounds will be applied to all Class 37s that you have in your RailWorks installation including any from RS.com's Class 37 Pack Add-on. Since the video above was compiled, a new feature has been discovered within the RailWorks sound system which allows the way a sound fades to be improved. With this new feature, sound now fades in a realistic manner by not staying at the same volume within a 30m bubble as before and becoming too quiet too soon but fading as you would expect it to. As well as the sounds, a high-quality scenario for the Paddington to Oxford route is included with a duration of around 40 minutes so you can test the sounds out. This scenario has all trains from the May - December 2009 Working Timetable implemented and are named with headcode, origin and destination so you can see where the train has come from!
This add-on is supplied in download format only.
Important Information - Railworks Compatibility Issue
Due to stricter rules on the editing of core default files in RailWorks, everytime RailWorks updates, it overwrites any edited core files which means this sound pack stops functioning. By buying this pack then, you accept that you will have to reinstall everytime RailWorks updates OR turn RailWorks updates off by going offline on Steam and only updating when you really have to.
